This tricky route is the next bolted line right of

Nice Jugs

. It goes up the slab, turns a roof, and then continues up more slab. Those expecting the roof to be the crux will be in for a surprise when they pull onto the slab above. Look for the hard-to-see finger pocket to make the clip from and then crimp and smear through the final tenuous moves to reach easy terrain.

Scramble up some casual jams and jugs to a great expanding deep crack starting hands, to fists, to elbows, knees, maybe throw in your head as long as there's not bees. Take in the sight while inside the chimney before moving on into fun mostly hands and fingers to the top. Anchor right of "Nice Jugs".

Face to excellent crack to slab.  Crux is off the first bolt. use extended draw at traverse to minimize rope drag on slab.

climb first 5 bolts of Lava Haul, go left to/up arete, step across and ascend arete/face to anchors. 2 10c moves on final arete.  Lots of fun and 3D.

Crux just above recently added 3rd bolt.  Climb up right slope of right facing dihedral and then headwall above.  Chossy but fun for those who don't mind a bit of crunchiness while going about their business.

Awkward start, sucker holds that look bomber end up being insecure slopers... altogether an OK warm up, but location not conducive to many ascents.

Varied climb featuring eveything from crack to its namesake jugs. Two cruxes, one at about the third bolt and the other just before you get to the anchor, Nice Jugs is not to be missed if you're in the area.

crux @ 2nd bolt on headwall.  Clip then go left past big pocket to jugs.

Fun, positive climbing on beautiful rock until a thin crux at the 5th bolt. Slightly tenuous moves take you to the chains and a beautiful view.  Well worth the scramble up to the start.  WARNING! After the 9th bolt, a loose block/flake must be avoided by going up and left.

Start up the obvious hand crack (bolted) which is harder than it looks to a stance at the top of the corner.  Move out left to the arete with difficulty. Once around the arete crank up past endless edges. Strenuous and somewhat exposed.

A worthy companion piece to Wacked Scenario if you're into bolted cracks.

P1: 5.9, 60' Climb the first four bolts of Nice Jugs, hang a left then up past two more bolts to a belay.

P2: 10b 100'.  A long steep dihedral starting enjoyably at hands and eventually cruxing with OW/chimney near the top.  It felt pretty exciting to lead non-negligible OW without being able to slide a "big green" up with me.

Two raps back to the ground.

Climb an arching, strait in finger crack which arches left from the start of Caldera. Pretty strait forward fingerlocks the whole way.

Excellent climb, one of the best of its grade in the Gorge. Mantle up past two bolts heading right to a wide step-across to the left. Crimp and smear up a slabby section to a small ramp to the left. Lieback around and up to the dihedral and then straight up to the anchors.

Sustained arete/face climbing.  Cruxes at 2nd bolt and near the top.
