Climb up the lower angle rock and slab heading toward the base of the first, steeper corner right of the main, Honeycomb Bulge.  Climb up the shield and make thin moves left into the base of the corner.  Steeply climb the corner until the angle eases and head to the anchors.

Start just right of Honeycomb climbing lower angle rock onto the ramp above.  Continue up the slab trending slightly left on smooth, solid rock towards the base of the blocky roof below two cracks that slant downward to an "arrowhead".  Pull the blocky roof on edges and pockets and makes moves upward using the hole on the right and arete on the left. DO NOT GO RIGHT FROM THE HOLE. Continue up/left using holds and pinches until you can get a left hand onto the flake above (shared with Honeycomb but you don't stray into that route).  Move up and right around the corner onto easier terrain continue up to the anchor.

Restoration of an older route that had a funky single chain anchor.  Good to go now.Climb face holds to sloping pocket and then make difficult moves to surmount the bulge and establish onto the slab above just below and left of the left facing, overhanging corner.  Continue up into this corner on steeper terrain and pockets to reach the anchor.

Starts off with a couple of nice mantles to comfy clipping stances, followed by some easy scrambling to the base of the headwall, where a good undercling will help you get the next bolt clipped. The moves up the headwall are not obvious (there are some sweet spots on the flake and some decent pockets to use), but once you find the right sequence and body positioning it isn't too hard. Unlike many Med Wall routes, there isn't a good clipping jug above the anchors - clip a little below the anchors for the most secure stance. 

 Named in honor of "The Mayor of Med Wall", Matt Markell, for his forethought, leadership and hard work in the rebirth of this fun local crag. 

 Currently the route is still a little dirty, but should clean up with some more traffic and brushing.

The latest in contrived texas limestone routes, 1604 climbs the first 7 bolts of Future No More Uncertain Than the Present then breaks right onto the Metro shield, finishing on the final 2 bolts of Construction Delays. Low chuckles and groans are appropriate when uttering the name, as all San Antonio climbers know the uncertain future of the construction delays on loop 1604. Kudos to Matt Markell for putting all the bolts in for the two routes 1604 encompasses.

Climbs the left edge of the Arete branching off from "Blake and Ted's Excellent Adventure"

Climbs fun rock with a bit of everything - pockets, flakes, crack side pulls etc.  Start either on the ground left of the 3rd class corner and climb easy but fun face to the mid ledge or just skip this part by scrambling up the 3rd class corner with the down-hanging cedar and begin on the upper ledge system.  From the belay bolt on the ledge, climb steep face up and slightly right eventually aiming for the prominent hole at the base of a vertical, thin crack.  Continue up along the crack using pockets as needed to the anchor just right of the crack.

Tackling the largest portion of the Metro roof and then punching into the hardest part of the Metro Shield this is quality line sussed out by Joe during the initial re-bolt work pre-opening.  Delays, lack of time and a plethora of other stories delayed this one getting put in until just now!Climb the lower angle rock past 2 bolts to gain the ledge below the main roof. Steep pulling past the undercut gains the main face but you're not done yet. Pull hard on pockets and more edges gaining the upper, steel gray face to finish at the anchor.

Adding to the quality of the "resurrection shield" this line takes the prominent Prow to the top.  Begin off the mid height ledge (or climb up from below) and make a few moderate moves to reach the first bolt.  Hard face moves on shallow hold gets into the meat of the climb.  Pull past the crux and two more bolts before it eases a bit near the top and final bolt.  Lower off AnchorRoute name a nod to my better half who allows me to do all this route work and rock "playing".

Start below a short, right facing corner with a shallow crack.  Scramble up the low angle rock into the corner and use that and holds out left to pull onto the upper ledge (2 bolts).  Move up and left over the perched block and climb the 2nd slab (1 bolt) to the base of the headwall at a large hole with vertical, featured rock (just right of the The Pacifist corner).  Climb straight up past the hole onto the main shield of rock with a shallow, vertical tips flake.  Continue up the flake until it runs out and then use pockets and other holds to reach the top.  Lower Off Anchors

Originally a TR setup by unknown parties and locally known as "Honeycomb".  Lead bolts were added later as was a different name - aka "Loopy Likes it on Top" ... 

  Head up the lower angle slab past 2 bolts.  At the base of the headwall, clip a bolt on the face to protect you making the clip above the lip.  Steep climbing up and left through SWISS CHEESE Rock leads up and right to a Crack before toping out with some face climbing.

Starts 6' right of the obvious "Mistaken Identity" corner, also climbing a right facing but more broken corner with large, flat holds.  Any more right and you get to easy, 4th class benches that trend up and more right under Urban Sprawl.  Up top, look for a large, obvious cleft in the rock.  This climbs LEFT of the groove.  Climb the easy moves in the corner, pulling up onto the ledge above.  Climb the easy slab past a hole and one bolt aiming for the bulging rock just left of the base of the cleft above.  Pull up on very featured, slightly chossy rock into the steep, excellent pockety rock above.  Climb the rock above with your right hand using the edge of rock (left side of cleft) to the top. Feet do stab out right into the cleft proper.  You can also try and climb JUST the face staying left of the bolt line - harder for sure 10a/b?.   

Climbs steep rock through a tough bulge onto lower angle, pocketed black rock above.  Begin down and right of the obvious hueco on stepped ledges (belay bolt available) or start from the ground right of the approach corner climbing easy moves and stepped rock up to the start.  Climb up and slightly left towards the hueco and then move right into the bulge proper.  Tricky moves over the bulge nearly get you into the Mayor's Mark crack on the right (but not quite).  Hard moves finish you establishing on the upper head wall on pocketed black rock.  Continue moving up and left on the face to finish at the anchors.  Hard to on sight.  

Start below two bolts leading towards a rock perched on the ledge above.  Make easy moves in a right facing corner to step up and left and clip the first bolt.  Move up to the 2nd before moving onto the ledge (either over the block or around it to the left on the dirt ramp).  Easy climbing up the ramp leads to a 3rd bolt.  Head up to the base of the corner RIGHT of the steeper Judgement.  Climb the fun corner/layback on large holds clipping bolts on the face out right until you reach the anchor.  

The Second "Major" outcrop of rock you'll encounter as you hike along the creek bed.  Look for a Large Bulge of "Swiss Cheese" Limestone with several obvious, diagonal cracks on the right side.
