Start 25' left of the Flying Buttress Route in a right facing corner that has a very thin seam. Climb the corner utilizing chicken heads to a pointed flake (the Hound's Tooth). The first ascent used aid to move past the flake, it has now been freed at 5.11 c/d. Once above the flake continue up past a block to a belay ledge.

The second pitch continues up a 5.8 corner to the top. One can descend from the top of the dead snag above Lichen It.

Start up under a dead snag that marks the top of the climb. Follow a face and chicken heads up 60-70' then proceed up a nice little dihedral to the top. Rappel from the snag.

Climb up to a chimney that is about 50 feet left of the Mosaic Wall. At the top of the chimney head up and right to another chimney. Another pitch leads to a ledge. Move back left past some really really old bolts below a roof and continue up a corner.

The Mosaic Wall is the next dihedral crack system north of Penny Arcade. It starts on the distinct Mosaic checker board looking face.

P1 and P2: Climb cracks on face to a ledge 5.9

P3: Traverse right off ledge to crack system then traverse left into dihedral after about 40ft, then climb seam in corner with spaced out gear, high on the pitch traverse right again. Long pitch. Dirty scary fun. 5.10 R

P4: Either continue up poorly protected corner or climb crack system on face to the top of the wall.

Descent: Walk off North/West back into the Cirque.

Start up a shallow dihedral that is left of the Mosaic Wall until it  reaches a ledge (150'). Continue up until another ledge is reached under a steep headwall. Follow a crack up through the head while airy climbing. After the headwall it kicks back.

All I really recall was the first pitch stemming dihedral was really nice, and takes a bunch of small but solid stoppers.  Makes a nice "bonus route" when you're wiped out from the hike in, or on your second morning in the cirque, when the idea of starting a climb in the shade seems unappealing.Morning sun!!!

Pitch 1

. Follow the rather thin corner system up to a ledge.

Pitch 2

. Continue up the corner for 40' then traverse right and continue up the face to an offwidth which can be climbed up to another ledge.

Pitch 3

. Continue up the corner system again to the top.

Descent

: Walk off North/west to desend back into the Cirque. Don't try to rappel the Flying Butress.

Of historical note: Merril Bitter and party did just the first pitch before bailing due to an afternoon storm. Dan Baker and Allen Sanderson did the first recorded ascent in 1988. Others may have preceeded both parties as a pin was found high on the first pitch.
